Writing (Explain describe how you have grown as a writer)

1.  Topic Sentence (specific Subject + a specific feeling, attitude or idea about it)

2.  Detail Sentences - Talk about specific traits:  strong ones, areas of improvement.

                      Writing Process:  prewriting, rough draft, revising, editing, and final drafting

                     

6+1 Traits of Writing: 

                      Organization (attention getter, body with transitions, conclusion),

                     

Content (stay on topic, specific details),

                     

Sentence Fluency (S, Cd, Cx Sentences) (flows vs. choppy),

                     

Word Choice (your vocabulary to express yourself),

                     

Conventions (spelling, capitalization, punctuation)(DOL),

                     

Voice (your personality),

                     

and Presentation (the final typed version with a cover sheet)

3.  Clincher Sentence (wrap-up/summary of you as a writer)
