Fractured Fairy Tales Projects  (Writing and Speaking) 

   Write a new version of a traditional fairy tale (“Little Red Riding Hood”, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, “The Three Little Pigs”, “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Ugly Duckling”, “Snow White” “Sleeping Beauty”, etc.)  You will need to write it from a new point of view, a continuation of the tale, or “twisted” /told from a new setting.  Your tale must tell the whole tale (exposition through denouement) and should include LOTS of wonderful word choice and voice.  Also, the characters should talk, so use dialogue!!  More than one page long! All 6 Traits of writing are graded…

        Do a dramatic reading of your fairy tale.  Include gestures and character voices to enhance your reading with expressive interpretations ( think of it as a one person skit J ).  You will be graded for verbal, nonverbal, content, and organization (including dialogue).   You will be assigned a day to present.
